What type of Timber Sale do you need?

Pre-Commercial Thinning

Pre-Commercial Thinning

Pre-Commercial Thinning

Pre-Commercial Thinning

Pre-Commercial Thinnings are similar to Commercial Thinning but are implemented at an early age when the trees have not yet reached merchantable size for conventional timber harvesting. These are typically only conducted when market conditions for pre merchantable wood is favorable.

Clear Cutting

Timber Harvesting

Clear Cutting involves the total harvest of a specific stand of timber or property. The majority of clear cuts are conducted when a stand of timber has reached maturity. Clear cutting is also advised when a timber stand is not reaching its full potential and the landowner wishes to restart with a commercially planted pine stand.

Fuel Wood Harvesting

Pre-Commercial Thinning

Basic Commercial Thinning

Pine Tree Land Clearing

Fuel Wood Harvesting is conducted when a stand of timber is densely populated with undesirable pre-merchantable woody species. These harvests specifically target the smaller woody species while leaving the larger desirable trees to grow. This drastically improves the aesthetic value of your land while also providing revenue.

Field Work

Basic Commercial Thinnings are conducted to expedite growth and overall health of a commercial pine plantation. The object of these harvests is to remove diseased, forked, scarred, or otherwise genetically inferior trees to allow for future growth of the remaining healthy trees. These harvests are conducted periodically throughout the lifespan of the timber stand and timing of these harvests should be done with the age and health of the stand as well as market conditions in mind.

Species Targeted Thinning

Basic Commercial Thinning

Species Targeted Thinning

Thinning

Species Targeted Thinnings are conducted when a landowner has a desired species or general group of species they wish to leave on their property while eliminating the remaining trees. This can be achieved by specifically designating trees to be harvested.

For example, if a landowner has a mixed pine plantation with Loblolly, Slash and Longleaf pine and wishes to transform their land into a native Longleaf/Wiregrass ecosystem, we will specifically designate and harvest the other two pine species while leaving the longleaf to grow and proliferate.
